Haapasaaristo National Park
Kilpisaari
The underwater meadows of Kilpisaari in Haapasaaristo is a scuba-diving target well worth seeing, performing a diversity of Baltic Sea plants and fish. In Haapasaaristo area, there is kelp living in the depth of up to 6-7 meters. A keen scuba-diver may as well catch a glimpse of a bullhead.



Anchorage of Järvenkari
On the West side of Järvenkari is located an anchorage that was in frequent use probably in the 16th and 17th centuries. Within a narrow area of approximately 200 x 300 m there are anchors of three ships lying in the depth of 10-15 meters. Additionally, on the South-West side of Järvenkari there is located an unknown old wooden wreck with vertical side bars remaining of it, lying on sand in the depth of app. 22 meters.
